The Knicks Have Their Big 3 On the roster Right now.......Pontenially

Most Knick Fans are excited about this season. We did not get Lebron or Wade but, we did get Amare someone who will embrace the city and take on the challenge of helping the knicks get back to the playoffs. I know 99 Mill also helped but, i believe it's a little more than that but, Amare in my opinion isn't the most important player this season. We know your gonna get your 24-25 pionts and 8 Rebounds every night from him. To me Anthony Randolph and Danilo Gallinari are the two most important Knicks this Season. It seems like every basketball website has the Knicks as an 8th seed. If Randolph and Gallo can turn out to be what we think. This team could be dangerous. Think about it, Randolph is a 6'11 versatile athlete who can play multiple position who should be an all-star some say a superstar. We know what Gallo can do. There's a lot of Gallo Naysayers but, I'm one of the hand full of people from day one who thinks he can be a star. Most people will say (Who doesn't watch the Knicks) he can only shoot. That's not true. Shooting is what he does best, he can do more than shoot. He's a good defender he can put the ball on the floor he makes good basketball plays and most of all he's a competitor.Who wants to be the best and compete against the best in the NBA. That alone can bring the best out of a player.

I believe the Knicks could potentially have their own big three Amare,Gallo, and Randolph. Lets hope They Grow into what we think they can. The sky is the limit for this team if than can.

Told You Fields Could You Be A Sleeper

The night the Knicks drafted Landry Fields and Andy Rautins i was disappointed like every other knick fan. I thought I already knew what Andy Rautins could bring to the table, but i never watched Fields play.

Fields Showed at Summer League he has a Knack for the ball i could see why he average 9 rebounds per game in college. He athletic he runs the floor and shows he can finish. He also showed he has a good shot.

Article I wrote on June 25

Can Amare Be Enough To Get Wade ?

Via Alan Hahn of Newsday

- Though it's probably mere posturing, Wade gave the Knicks good vibes during their meeting with him Friday in Chicago . A person with direct knowledge of that meeting said that when Wade was told the Knicks would build a team around him, he replied, "Just get me one player and I'll get you a ring."

ESPN: Wade,Bosh and Lebron Meet In Miami ?

Via Espn

Sources close to the situation said Monday night that three of the biggest names in basketball -- Wade, Chris Bosh and LeBron James -- met over the weekend in Miami to seriously discuss their futures, with a focus on the increasingly plausible possibility of those three teaming up with Wade's Heat.

Yet sources with knowledge of the meeting stressed to ESPN.com that James, while clearly intrigued by the possibility of forming a star-studded Miami trio with Wade and Bosh, has not yet committed to leave his hometown Cleveland Cavaliers for South Beach.

It's kind of funny how people say Lebron can't become bigger than what he is or he that he already has enough endorsements. People never talk about Micheal Strahan. Ever since Micheal Strahan has won a Super Bowl in 2008. People don't talk about how Micheal Strahan has gotten a million endorsements since that Super Bowl. Subway,Vaseline Mens, Dr.Pepper, Snickers , Sports Authority and even his own T.V show ! Take all that in. At one time i couldn't turn the channel without seeing a Micheal Strahan commercial. Micheal is probably top 2 or 3 of the greatest Giants of all-time but, i wouldn't compare him to Lebron as far as Star Power. New York is still a basketball town. Imagine Winning 1 or 2 Titles in New York with the Knicks. He would double or triple Strahan's endorsements. Even without a Title he would have loads of endorsements. Let's not forget local/NYC endorsements there's so many in-city companies that would be feening to get Lebron to represent them.

Perfect example of what the New York market can do. David Lee and Nate Robinson in the Top 14 in Nba Jersey Sales for the 2009-2010 Seles lol Lebron would Blow Kobe out the Water with Merchandise the day he signed in NYC

People like Chris Broussard would say its 100% about winning with Lebron. To me its crazy that people really believe that. I believe Lebron's people are telling the media what they think people want to here.

Suns Interested In David Lee ?

Via Yahoo sports

Should the Suns lose Stoudemire, sources say Sarver is considering the possibility of making a push for New York Knicks free-agent forward David Lee(notes). For the cost-cutting Sarver, Lee could be obtainable for $20 million-$30 million less over the life of a contract. Lee could command a five-year contract worth around $60 million. It would likely take the renouncing of valued bench player Channing Frye(notes) for the Suns to aggressively pursue Lee.

Stephen A Smith: A Stong Source I've Known For 15 Years Told me Lebron and Bosh is Going To South Beach To Play With Wade To Win Mulitple Titles

I was listening to The Stephen A Smith Show This Mourning. He said Sources he's Known for 15 years a strong source said Lebron and Bosh will team up in Miami to Win multiple Championships. Smith also said after he talks to teams this week. He will announce He's signing with the Heat this weekend or early next week. He also said one of the reasons why Lebron won't come to New York is because Walsh is getting older and they don't know when he's going to retire and Mike D'antoni doesn't coach enough defense.

Someone Needs to Let Gallo,Toney, and Wilson Know How Much People think they Can't Play

My Convo With Broussard... Nothings Going to Change this Guys Mind !

Me -@Chris_Broussard Its funny how you really believe its 100 % basketball with lebron.

Chris_Broussard - @Mylove4sports Marketing and brand is important to LJ too, but winning titles is only thing that helps his brand, not being in certain city

Me- @Chris_Broussard if Lebron just wins one in New york it would count as 2 or 3 everybodys not like jordan or kobe winning 5 or 6 titles

Me- @Chris_Broussard its hard enough to win one championship. He really expects to win 4 or 5 titles ?

Chris_Broussard - @Mylove4sports for the guys he's being compared to - MJ, Kobe, Magic. He's got to

Me-@Chris_Broussard the diffrence between him and MJ Jordan would take the knicks as a challenge instead of trying to take the "easy" way out

Chris_Broussard @Mylove4sports MJ was a free agent in '96. he coulda joined Knicks

No changing his Mind.

Fields Could Have Been a First Round Pick ? Maybe Even in the Lottery at One time ?

Ever since the Knicks Drafted Landry Fields I've been doing research on him because no one has heard of him. Especially on the east coast. The more I watch him the more i don't understand why he wasn't projected as a first round pick. I think it had to do with things he couldn't control. Like his conference and team. I truly believe if fields would have taken his team deep into the NCAA tournament. He wouldn't been in the spotlight, and would've gotten picked in the first round. Fields has a lot of tools to be a first rounder at his postion. He has great size 6'7-6'8 he has a 39 inch vertical. He can get to the basket and finish, he has a pretty good shot, he also has potential to become a good perimeter defender with his size, athleticism and quickness. Fields is a good rebounder at his postion, he average 9 per game. One thing I've noticed about him. He gets easy baskets, by moving without the ball and offensive rebounds.

I really Believe The Knicks might have a steal. He will have a nice summer league and people will jump on the bandwagon.

This is an interesting article I found on Fields by slamonline.com which was posted on Feb 1st this year

Via Slamonline.com

PROS

Talented Scorer

Fields is far from a one trick pony when it comes to getting buckets. He has a solid spot up J, can put the ball on the floor and can score with his back to the basket. Landry Fields is even good for the floaters off the dribble and can finish in the paint. His three point shooting hasn’t been the greatest this season but he’s not awful from behind the stripe. Nevertheless his form has enough promise for him to call attention on the perimeter in the League.

Athlete
Landry is quick in the open court and can make a poster out of defenders if he creates enough room. He’s also good for put back dunks. This advantage will be vital in the pro game as he’ll have to finish against faster, stronger defenders as a swingman. Additionally it’ll be interesting to see if he can keep up on the wing in a league full of swift slashers. His speed also comes in handy for his next asset.

Stealing
Two steals a contest with multiple 3+ steal efforts proves Landry’s patience on the ball and in the passing lanes. It’s one of the biggest turnarounds in his game aside from scoring and it’s not like he wasn’t picking pockets last year. He can make a killing if he can get picks when teams rotate the ball or set up isos.

Offensive Rebounding
This strong point may be largely attributed to the NCAA-level ball he’s up against. But a healthy amount of his 8 boards a night come from playing the offensive glass. Going for rebounds as well as steals says something about his ability to hustle for more scoring opportunities as a scorer and a team player.

CONS

Turnover Prone
Fields can get kind of careless with the ball. Whether it’s a bad pass or getting too dribble-happy on the wing he’ll have to defer to the point more until he improves his offensive awareness. Additionally, it’s somewhat nagging to get on his low rate of dimes as the team’s top scorer but they go hand in hand when you look at his assists to turnover ratio.

Blocking
It’s somewhat perplexing that Landry’s capable agility and length doesn’t rake in more swats. It’s especially concerning when you notice he’s just as big if not bigger than most of the guards and forwards he goes up against.

Free-Throw Shooting
Thankfully this is a snag that can be alleviated with practice and dedicLandry Fieldsation so it’s not a huge deal. Plus with Field’s growth as a scorer you’d assume that he’d highlight this flaw when transitioning to the pros like many before him. Nevertheless it’s something that he has to assess as he goes to the line often.

Pull-Up Jumper
When Landry drives most of the time he’ll attempt to finish at the rim or dish it out to a teammate. He seldom shoots off the dribble because the defense he’s currently up against allows it. He won’t have the luxury to coast into the lane and attract attention as often at the pro-level. If he wants to carry on his reputation as a prolific scorer he’ll have to sharpen this difficult technique to the repertoire. If not then he’ll find that those scoring lanes won’t be open for exploitation nearly as often.

CONCLUSION

Landry’s offensive skill set looks great now but it’ll have to adapt to a much faster NBA game. This may not be as big a hurdle as it sounds as he’s quick enough to become a scoring option off the bench. The main issue for him will be learning how to take better care of the ball against seasoned vets. He already gives it away too often against amateur level competition so it’ll be a sore spot in his rookie season should he get proper PT. Fields is a first rounder as he has the right size and athletic range to be a competent 3 in the Association. He can sneak into the Lottery if he can somehow lead Stanford can into the NCAA Tournament and has an impressive showing.

Knicks Trade for the 44th Pick Center Jerome Jordan (Not Official Yet)

Via NbaDraft.net

Strengths: Was one of the most effective centers in the nation as a senior averaging 15 and 9 with over 2 blocks per game ... Has an ideal NBA center frame with tremendous dimensions including a huge (7-foot-6) wingspan on a 7-plus foot frame ... Players his size don't often have his agility. Solid in the open floor and has some leaping ability ... Shows nice touch for a bigman. Has an excellent shooting form on mid-range jumpers and free throws with efficiency (68% as a senior but should be able to shoot better) ... Appears comfortable stepping out to 12-15 feet and knocking down jump shots with good form ... Became a lot more comfortable in his senior year showing the ability to be an effective scorer in the paint ... Gets a lot of easy dunks and put backs due to his size ... Utilizes drop steps and some effective post moves to create scoring opportunities ... Does a good job of posting up, using his great length to make a big target in the paint ... Shows a solid righty jump hook ... Quality rebounder due to his great length ... His length also makes him a presence defensively (over 300 career blocks), with potential to improve if he focuses on it ... Had an excellent showing in a late season match up with Hassan Whiteside where he took over the game and handily outplayed the young phenom using his polish, strength and experience (21 pts, 12 reb) ... To his credit has worked hard at his game and become a steady, consistent (game to game) performer at the college level (scored in double digits in all but 4 games).

Weaknesses: From Jamaica, Jordan was late to playing orgazined ball but has shown steady improvement over his college career ... Born in Sept 1986, Jordan will be over 24 before he ever suits up for an NBA team. His age takes away some of the intrigue regarding his potential ... Does not appear to enjoy contact and lacks the tough demeanor that you want in a post player ... Lack of body strength becomes apparent when he meets contact ... Has decent body mass but lacks natural strength, particularly in his legs, and will be pushed around at the NBA level ... Likely will struggle to put on additional strength due to his age ... Despite being a fluid athlete, he appears to have a bit of an old man's body and doesn't show great explosiveness or quickness in his movements ... Reaction speed to the ball and hands are just average ... A bit of an enigma. His size, and abilities would make you think he could be better, and may always frustrate his coaches with that issue. Defers to teammates and often doesn't look to take over games the way he appears capable ... Doesn't seem to understand how much bigger and more talented he is than opponents and use that to his advantage ... Settles for too many fadeaways and shots lacking momentum towards the basket ... Shows flashes but his level of effort and intensity lacks consistency within games ... He's naturally a laid back guy and has trouble at times flipping the switch on the floor and becoming intense ... Lack of intensity has been a barrier for him ... Considering his length, should be a more dominant shot blocker. His timing and natural instincts are just average. Blocked a lot of shots as a sophomore but then apparently began focusing on his offensive game and his numbers dipped significantly ... Lacks great vision and passing ability ... Far too right hand dependent, even when he goes left he uses his right hand, making him predictable on offensive moves ...

The Knicks Draft Andy Rautins and Landry Fields at 38 and 39 in the 2010 Nba Draft

Strengths: A wing player with terrific size and a great scoring touch … He has continued to make noticeable improvements to his game, and has become a scoring machine in his senior season … An extremely versatile player, he is able to beat you with the dribble, with the shot or with his back to the basket ... He is comfortable handling the ball on the perimeter and attacking off the dribble ... At his best operating out of the triple threat where he uses his long jabs and shotfakes to create separation ... He is extremely good going to the basket, where he has terrific patience and a wide variety of counter moves he can use in order to get the best shot ... He has a tremendous touch on mid to short shots, and he is able to convert against multiple defenders ... Extremely aggressive slasher, he looks to get to the hoop for finishes or to draw contact ... Very unselfish player, has good vision and is able to create plays for teammates ... Rebounds the ball on both ends of the floor ... Gets into the passing lanes ...

Weaknesses: He is a bit skinny and does not have great explosiveness ... How will he adapt to playing against quicker and stronger defenders at the next level? ... Not a consistent shooter from deep or off the dribble ... Has to improve his accuracy at the free throw line ...

NBA Comparison: Matt Carroll

Strengths: Cerebral 2 guard most known for his range and jump shot, Andy's quick release and accuracy make him a deadly threat from outside ... He needs minimal space to get off his shot, while having enough range to knock down threes with ease ... He is always active without the ball, constantly running through and around screens to free himself open ... More than just a 3 point specialist, it's his play making abilities that make him a well rounded player ... He has an excellent basketball IQ, along with tremendous court vision, his passing skills can sometimes go overlooked ... When he does have an open lane to penetrate, Andy has the ability to take it, and set up his teammates for easy baskets ... He understands where to put the ball when throwing entry passes into the post, making it easier for his big men to go up in a smooth and constant motion ... He is an above average defender, with quick hands and an ability to read passing lanes ... You might say he is a product of working in Jim Boeheim's 2-3 zone for 4 years, but his awareness propels him to be a pest on the defensive end, on and off the ball ...

Weaknesses: He lacks athleticism, size and strength, which hurt him on both ends when comparing him to other shooting guards at the next level ... He does not have the quickest first step, which really makes him nothing more than catch and shoot threat when it comes to scoring ... Just like any pure shooter, Andy gets a little streaky from the outside, and since he has trouble creating for himself, he can be ineffective at times when his three-ball is not falling that day ... You don't see him finish around the basket that much, mainly because he never gets there unless it's in transition ... His ball handling skills are average to above average, although it’s not a true strength of his game ... Because he can see the floor well, he sometimes gets carried away with trying to make the tough pass, when the simple pass would be the better decision ... The Knicks Expect Lebron in New York The Afternoon on July 1st (Some Details Of What They have Planned)

Via Cleveland.com/Brian Windhorst

According to a source, the Knicks are making plans to host an elaborate meal and meeting with James in a high-end location in Manhattan during the afternoon and evening of July 1, which is next Thursday. The tentative plan is for Knicks management and officials to host James and his various agents and friends for a large dinner party catered by a celebrity chef.

The Knicks are currently scouring the city for an available high-rise condo or apartment with a great view to rent for the event, the source said.

James is expected to be bombarded by interest once midnight passes on July 1, and his top suitors likely would all like to host him for a visit. The Knicks' bid has gotten a boost of support from Mayor Michael Bloomberg, in addition to various groups that are attempting to gather celebrities to make personal pitches to James.

"It's Almost Certain Lebron Will Not Be Returning To Cleveland" (Mia,L.A,Chi) Of Course No Mention Of New York

Jalen Rose wrote on his Twitter today that sources told him Lebron will not return to Cleveland. Ok most of us kind of thought that, but he also wrote Lebron's going to Miami,Chicago or THE CLIPPERS !!!!!!!!! As good as the Clippers Roster looks right now they always seem to have bad luck. Lets Not forget about the other team that plays in the Staples Center and the "other player" who plays in that town. Once again New York is left out. I'm sticking to what i believe. which is, if he doesn't stay in Cleveland he's coming to New York.

7 Days away,Lets hope I'm Right.

Top 4 Players on the Knicks Draft Radar

G Armon Johnson NBA Comparison: Antonio Daniels

F Craig Brackins NBA Comparison: Jason Thompson/LaMarcus Aldridge

G Grevis Vasquez

Strengths: A combo guard with good scoring instincts and advanced passing ability … Has a natural feel for the game and is able to see plays well before they materialize, allowing him to deliver passes that seem impossible to make ... At 6'6 he has great size for a guard (as it allows him to see over top of defenders, but it also makes him a difficult matchup) … He has good potential to play in a pick and roll system, because he is good at keeping his dribble alive and drawing the rotation … Has crafty moves off the dribble, and uses his long strides to get past defenders ... Can use either hand to finish at the basket ... Split time between both guard positions, and was able to bring a nice mix of attributes to both spots … Showed the ability to operate without the ball and come off screens … Has become a better shooter from the outside, stretching his range and improving his percentages ... Solid contributor on the glass as well as in the steals department ... Plays with a lot of passion and confidence, he is not afraid of throwing difficult passes or taking big shots … Has proven that he can perform in key moments against top level collegiate competition … Continued to improve various facets of his game throughout his career …

Weaknesses: Lacks the first step to explode by defenders ... Has a hard time turning the corner, and usually has defenders riding his hip ... He is not an aggressive player and has trouble against defenders who get into his body … Not a great finisher inside, he doesn’t have great strength or body control to complete plays through contact … Can be very erratic with the ball and with his passing (taking way too many risks)... Shoots a slight set shot, which takes longer to release and allows the defense to recover ... Not a great shooter off the dribble, does not have great rhythm and elevation, which is the cause of inconsistent results from midrange ... Does not project well as a defender at the next level, lacks the lateral quickness and does not put forward much of an effort on that end ... Will have a hard time containing either guard position off the dribble … Is an arrogant player, which is sometimes a positive, but he needs to learn to control his emotions and not cross the line …

ESPN'S ROB PARKER : LeBron can win in New York -- right now

I've been saying this for a while now, and I've been using The Celtics as an example. A Championship team can be built over night. Lets hope its 12:00 Am July 1st. Rob Parker makes few good points. One of the points he makes is the East is wide open now.

Heres's Some of the Article.

Via Espnnewyork.com

Boston Celtics

It's a wrap.

Their three-year run with the Big Three ended when they blew a 13-point, second-half lead to the Lakers in the seventh and deciding game Thursday night.
But there's just not much left here. Kevin Garnett has lost something and isn't the feared player he once was. Ray Allen, an unrestricted free agent, is either great or terrible these days. It's hard to win with a 35-year-old 2-guard who is so up-and-down.

Orlando Magic

The Magic's gone.

It's hard to look at this squad and be scared anymore. That was the case two years ago when Orlando shocked James and America and beat the Cavs in the conference finals.

And although you have to respect any team with Dwight Howard, you can't be convinced they have the right parts in place to stand in James' way next season.

Vince Carter, the big piece that was supposed to put the Magic over the top, came up small, and his conference performance has people wondering whether he'll ever have the impact there.

Stephen A Smith :Sources Tell Me Lebron Is Leaning Towards The Knicks. (Im not Suprised)

Via RealGM and TheKnicksblog.com

During an interview on ESPN Radio in New York, Stephen A. Smith said sources have told him that James is leaning toward signing with the Knicks and that this factor played a role in Tom Izzo turning down the Cavs’ head coaching job.

“LeBron didn’t speak to Izzo because he doesn’t want to have anything to do with who the next coach of the Cavs is going to be just in case he leaves,” Smith said.

“From what my sources tell me, he still hasn’t made a final decision but he’s higher on New York now than he was a month ago. And the reality is that he is leaning more towards New York than he is towards returning to Cleveland. Izzo knew this,” he said.

Smith suggests that the prospect of competing head to head with Michael Jordan’s legacy in Chicago is dampening James’ interest in the Bulls.

“He and his people have been digging deeper and deeper … to inquire about Donnie Walsh and Mike D’Antoni around the league,” he continued. “They have been asking questions over the last week, very in-depth questions, about the New York Knicks organization.”

Yes, it’s all speculation, but my thing is, how is this speculation not as valid as Chris Broussard’s speculation about Lebron going to Chicago? You have to take it all with a grain of salt, but Stephen A. is a connected guy who knows Lebron well. Again, we’ll have to just wait until July 1st.

*I've said it before if he doesn't stay in Cleveland he's coming to New York

More and More im getting the feeling Lebron is going to leave Cleveland. (Lets Hope Its for New York City)

Via Philip Zaroo | MLive.com

Tom Izzo will remain at Michigan State, spurning a reported 5-year, $30 million contract from the Cleveland Cavaliers, according to a report by WILX in Lansing.

The Spartans head basketball coach reportedly informed the MSU Board of Trustees of his intentions late this afternoon.

The Detroit TV station, WDIV, had reported Izzo would make the announcement at 7 p.m. Tuesday, but backed off the statement, explaining that the press conference may not take place until Wednesday.

My Thoughts on the Izzo situation

More and more I'm getting the feeling Lebron is going to leave Cleveland. He won't even get on the phone to talk to Izzo. I've said it a million times if lebron leaves Cleveland he's coming to New York Not Chicago not L.A. If Lebron won't give Izzo atleast a bit of info about where he's going to Tom Izzo who could've been his coach. Why would he give signals about his interest in going Chicago. All of a sudden the Knicks aren't in the discussion, it doesn't make any since to me.

Sounds to me he's trying to get the attention away from New York and its Working.

Carmelo Anthony Talks About 2011 : "I Love Gallinari"

Via Marc Berman of The NY Post

Here's some of the article

Anthony said he would consider signing a contract extension with the Nuggets in the next 12 months, saying a lot depends on the health of cancer-stricken George Karl and Denver's ability to win.

Anthony said he's different than LeBron James -- not curious about getting wooed and wined and dined. Carmelo has been there, done that.

Anthony said he and other top free agents won't be swayed by the Knicks' franchise-record streak of nine straight losing seasons.

"When it comes to people making decisions, I don't really think it's based on what happened in the past," Anthony said. "It's what they have right now, the pieces on the team right now. I like Lee. I love [Danilo] Gallinari. And David is a 20-and-10 guy every game. So they have some pieces there."

Another Player with a compliment For Gallinari I guess Donnie was right.

Tracey Mcgrady On Gallo " He is a big talent and can be soon an All-Star"

Via Hoopshype.com & Sportando.net

Today Tracy McGrady was in Milan attending and playing in the Adidas 5 United Tour and had a meeting with journalist talking on his future, his experience with Knicks and Danilo Gallinari, the Italian forward who plays with NY. "I don't know anything about my future" said McGrady who was traded to Knicks during the regular season. "And I think I am not going to take a decision since all the big free agents will choose their next destination. Then I will see where I can fit. D'Antoni? I don't know him very well as the other Italians in NBA. I know Danilo Gallinari. He is a big talent and can be soon an All-Star" added t-Mac who finished talking about the NBA Finals "Boston will win in 7 games and Rajon Rondo will be the MVP". Sportando.net

Do you hear this Lebron !

18 More Days (Also Thoughts On Rafer Alston Wanting To Sign With The Knicks)

18 More Days To Maybe The Biggest Day In Kncks History

Thoughts on Rafer Alston... He hasn't shot the ball well these last couple seasons, but he is a play maker as far as managing the game and getting assist. If we do get Lebron and Bosh i think it could be a good pick up, because all he would have to do is manage the game and get people shots and hopefully make open shots himself. Right now Toney Douglas hasn't shown he can be a playmaker as far as getting assist. We all know he can score and defend.

Where's The European Gallo ?

When Donnie Walsh and Mike D'antoni came to NY. It was a new beginning for the Knicks Franchise. Walsh talked about wanting to start over and build the Knicks from the ground up with the free agency class of 2010, but before the Knicks could even think about 2010 and start their quest to build a championship team. The Knicks had the 6th overall pick that year. That was a important pick for the Knicks. All Knicks fans kept hearing about was this young Italian prospect whose father played with Mike D'antoni in Italy. So i went on youtube to see what kind of player he was. When i first saw him i thought he was one of those flashy European players. He was crossing up defenders, going to basket dunking, making tough reverse layups. He barely shot 3's. The point of this post is what happen to that Version of Gallo ? One of the first things a "NBA GUY" would say is the competition over their is easier and he can't do all those things in the Nba. Some of that is true but, i think it's more of his back problems and Gallinari getting caught up in his "shooter" label settling for 3 pointers. Towards the end of the season we've seen him drive to the basket with success. He may not have made every lay up but, he did draw fouls. I've heard Mike D'antoni say Gallo will work on his quickness and agility this summer. We just may see more of the European Gallo this season.

Soprano Makes a Pitch For Lebron and Takes Shots at Cleveland & New Jersey ?

Another Celebrity Pitch for Lebron. This time James Gandolfini better known as Tony Soprano at the Spike Tv's Guys Choice Awards.

Via. New York Post & Fanhouse.com

This is what Gandolfini said...

"First things first, LeBron I would like you to come to New York, if you could, If you miss Cleveland, you just have to drive across the bridge to New Jersey, it's pretty much the same thing."

According to the New York Post Lebron was in the audience, In response he just smiled (expected)

I see this as a good thing as a Knick Fan. Another Celeb Pitch for the Knicks. Imagine when Lebron Comes in to visit.

Here's the link

I've Been Saying This Forever...Interesting Article By Espn's Chris Broussard (He's Finally being open minded about the Knicks getting LBJ)

Broussard talks about how the Knicks have Donnie Walsh and Mike D'antoni two proven guys at what they do. How Donnie built great Indiana teams in the late 90's and early 2000's. He talk about how maybe Walsh can convince Lebron he can build a Championship Team quicker than lebron would think. Broussard brings up two examples that alot of Knick fans including myself have been bringing up. Look at the how the Lakers got Gasol and look how Boston got Garrnet and Allen. People don't know much expiring Contracts are valued in the Nba and the Knicks have one in Eddy Curry. Curry becomes a free agent in 2011. I think Donnie will sell Lebron all those points.

Lets hope he believes it

Jordan Crawford is a Sleeper

Nbadraft.net has Jordan Crawford going to the Knicks at 38 (Tiny Gallon at 39)

Jordan Crawford is a pure scorer with unlimited range. He can shoot off the dribble. He has a scorers mentality. And he's a tough shot maker, there's only a few of those. I think one team will fall for him and pick him late in the first round. Maybe the Thunder who has two late first round picks (21st and 26th). He's sneaky athletic. I think If he was 2 inches taller he would be a lottery pick. If the Knicks select him and get a veteran, Someone like a Ray Allen who can teach him things or maybe even former Knick and Asistant General Manager Allan Houston. He could become a real good peice for the knicks.

He's 6-4 198 and a So.

HE COULD BECOME THE MOST HATED OPPOSING PLAYER EVER (EVEN MORE THAN JORDAN AND MILLER)

If Lebron James Stays in Cleveland. I can live with that hes been there for seven years now. Its his home state. So i don't have a problem with that but, if James goes anywhere else. Knicks Fans must make him their most Hated player. Even more than Micheal Jordan and Reggie miller. Lebron James has been teasing Knicks fans for the last two seasons. Even if hes not doing it on purpose. Saying Knicks fans should be excited about July 1 2010 and we should be open minded, wearing Yankee caps, talking how much he loves the city. He has the right to wear Yankee caps and he has the right to say he loves New york but, he also knows how Knick fans have been starving for a superstar and winning team for 10 years now. He knows how us knicks fans are gonna take everything he says about free agency and New york and try to make something of it. One thing I've learned about Lebron is hes a attention seeker and knows how to get the attention he seeks. So he knew what he was doing when he said those thing about New york and free agency. If Lebron signs with a team not name Knicks or Cavs. He has to be booed for the rest of his career. When he comes to The Garden. If hes even in town to for a concert or a yankee game or just to visit. He has to be booed. Not just by Knick fans but, New Yorkers in general. No Knick fan should buy any lebron sneaker that comes out from July 1st on if he signs with the Bulls,Clippers,or Nets.

Booing may not bother him, but I know what would. Donnie Building a championship team in the next two years without Lebron. If Gallo turns out to be an all star, douglas turns out to be a championship solid point gaurd, And wilson turns out to be a great role player. That would be the best way to get to lebron.

Miami Heat,Chicago Bulls, and New York Knicks, interested in Rudy Fernández

Via HoopsMarket.blogspot.com

Despite the reports about the possible signing of Rudy Fernández by Real Madrid, the stint of the 25-year-old Spanish guard in the NBA could not be over. Miami Heat, Chicago Bulls and New York Knicks could be interested in a trade for the player, who confessed to be unhappy in his current team, the Portland Trail Blazers. In case Fernández gets traded, he wouldn't go back to Europe.

These are the Draft Prospects coming to workout for the Knicks Tuesday June 8

• Trevor Booker, F – Clemson
• Dwayne Collins, F – Miami
• Sherron Collins, G – Kansas
• Matt Janning, G/F – Northeastern
• Tyren Johnson, G – Louisiana-Lafayette
• Andy Rautins, G – Syracuse

Out of this group I like Trevor Booker and Andy Rautins. Andy Rautins is a great shooter who brings energy, passion and leadership. Things the Knicks can use. He has the potential to be a Knick Fan Favorite. I feel the same way about Greivis Vasquez, he can bring passion and energy. I think if Vaquez is their at 38 or 39 the Knicks Should take him. I like Vasquez better because of his point guard potential.

Trevor Booker is also a passionate guy who brings energy (I like those type of players) He has great athletism, but he's also undersized.

Boozer Says he better then Lee

Via Frank Isola/Knicks Knation(Ny Daily News)

A small part of a interview Boozer did Monday on 1050 ESPN NY with Jody McDonald and Brandon Tierney.

Do you think you're a better player than David Lee?

Boozer: Absolutely I do. I think he's a very good, young player though. I think he's had a great season and he was the All Star this year. I think he has a great upside to him I just think I'm better, but I mean that's for you guys to debate about, I don't worry about that kind of stuff. I just go out there and play all for my team and try everything I can to win games and win a ring. David Lee is a great young player, a good friend of mine, and of course I wish him the best of luck as well with whatever he does, if he stays in NY or if he also goes elsewhere.

How are you able to impact a game in ways that maybe he can?

Boozer: Uh different ways man, I mean sometimes it just comes down to knowledge, it comes down to being able to have experience in the playoffs. Another about David is he's never been in a postseason. You know he's been watching a lot of postseasons and I think he's hungry to win, and I think he wants to be a part of a winner as well. You know I know his passion for the game, he plays hard every night, and I wish him that success.

Thoughts on Mike D'Antoni

Boozer: Also Mike D'Antoni was great, just being around him for those few months, you can tell that he has incredible sense of offense, he's an offensive genius when it comes to the game of basketball, and you can tell by the way his team's played in Phoenix, the way he's trying to play with the team in NY. And uh I'll tell you what it was a great experience to play underneath him.

Read more: http://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/knicks/2010/06/boozer-lees-very-good-but-im-b.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+nydnrss%2Fblogs%2Fknicks+%28Blogs%2FKnicks+Knation%29&utm_content=Twitter#ixzz0qDyA9RTk

My Opinion, I think Boozers just a little bit better. But i would take lee back over boozed just cause We drafted him and he's been here for 5 years.

Get Parker !

Over the last couple months we've heard rumors of Tony Parker wanting to be a knick. Today Alan from Newsday reported that the Knicks won't wait until 2011 where Carmelo Anthony and others will be a free agents.

Alan Hahn of Newsday wrote:

According to several sources, the Spurs may be downplaying trade rumors involving Tony Parker, but they are clearly ready to consider moves. The franchise committed to Manu Ginobili and have George Hill as a built-in replacement, which has made Parker expendable. But at what cost?

The Knicks would love to get a deal done before July 1 as an attention-grabber for free agents, but it might take the rights to David Lee in a sign-and-trade to get the Spurs talking. If that’s the case, it couldn’t happen until after July 1, because, as a one-year contract player, Lee can’t be signed to an extension.

The knicks need to jump on this. If the knicks can get this done it will show the free agents that Walsh means business and he will do what ever it takes to build a championship team around them. Now if we have to give up Gallo in this deal. I wouldn't do it, but if the spurs want Chandler or Douglas in the deal,I'm all for it.

I think it's a good Trade for both teams. Everybody knows we (The Knicks) need a point guard. We wouldn't just be getting a great point guard , we would be getting a point guard with championship experience. The spurs would get another big. Someone who can help Duncan on the boards he can also help stretch the floor and give duncan space to work in the post.

Message To Everyone Bashing The Knicks Young Core - (Just Look at how the Celtics were built)

I think every sportswriter,ex player and fan who bashes the Knicks young players. Should take a look at the Boston Celtics. When the Celtics traded for Ray Allen And Kevin Garrnet to pair up with Paul Peirce . Everybody including myself asked who else do they have ? Who's gonna be the the Point Guard ? People Would say whos gonna come off the bench and contribute ? Who's gonna step ? There were so many question. I don't even think the Celtics even knew the answer to those questions. No one knew they would have Four young core pieces that would help them get to the finals two out of three years. I dont think anyone knew Rajon Rondo Would turn out to be a top 5point guard, maybe top 3. No one Thought kendrick Perkins would be one of the top Defensive players in the nba. Lets not forget about Glen "Big Baby" Davis a second round Pick (the knicks have the 38 and 39 pick this year) and Tony allen two big Contributors off the bench. One of the main problems the knicks had these last 2 seasons is leadership from a superstar. Someone who can show Gallo,Toney Douglas, and Chandler how to work like a Superstar. How to maximize their talent. I think that helped Bostons young core. Kevin garnett brought his passion , and Ray Allen Brought his work ethic. Theres alot of players that have talent, but talent get only get you so far. If the knicks get a superstar. I think it can bring out the best in the knicks young players, Mentally as much as physically. Showing them how to be a professional. Seeing how much a Lebron or any superstar works on their game. And seeing the results that come from that hard work Should motivate any young player. And we've heard over the last two years how bad gallo wants to be a star. No one knows what the knicks core can turn out to be.

Hopefully Something Special
