Where's The European Gallo ?

When Donnie Walsh and Mike D'antoni came to NY. It was a new beginning for the Knicks Franchise. Walsh talked about wanting to start over and build the Knicks from the ground up with the free agency class of 2010, but before the Knicks could even think about 2010 and start their quest to build a championship team. The Knicks had the 6th overall pick that year. That was a important pick for the Knicks. All Knicks fans kept hearing about was this young Italian prospect whose father played with Mike D'antoni in Italy. So i went on youtube to see what kind of player he was. When i first saw him i thought he was one of those flashy European players. He was crossing up defenders, going to basket dunking, making tough reverse layups. He barely shot 3's. The point of this post is what happen to that Version of Gallo ? One of the first things a "NBA GUY" would say is the competition over their is easier and he can't do all those things in the Nba. Some of that is true but, i think it's more of his back problems and Gallinari getting caught up in his "shooter" label settling for 3 pointers. Towards the end of the season we've seen him drive to the basket with success. He may not have made every lay up but, he did draw fouls. I've heard Mike D'antoni say Gallo will work on his quickness and agility this summer. We just may see more of the European Gallo this season.
